Found ‘neath the sand
of an ancient cave,
A prayer engraved in stone:
“Tis wise to know
your enemy’s heart;
much wiser to know your own.”
Within the Cavern
so dark
so alive
so foreign to me,
I ask for reassurance
and guidance...
and feel the response
of the Sentient Being
that I know is the Cavern Itself.
I'm caught off-guard,
hearing Its voice...
and It says:
"You seem surprised at your own Power;
it amuses me."
The Cavern whispers:
"The sentient Life you seek
comes as it will...
be open:
draw on your own power
and let us flow through you
until...
the Oneness is your own
and we are you."
